PỌSI is a global platform that lets you pay a vetted hospital directly for a loved one's care. Instead of sending money and hoping it reaches the right place, you pay for a named treatment at a hospital we have checked, and we tell you when your loved one has actually been cared for.

PỌSI is operated by Olamiposi, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Boston, Massachusetts. PỌSI is supported by entrepreneurship and innovation programs at MIT and Harvard.

No. PỌSI is a technology platform that coordinates and verifies payment for care. We are not a bank, an insurance company, a hospital or a medical provider. Payments are handled by licensed payment institutions, and medical care is provided by independent hospitals.

Families and supporters can fund care from anywhere. Our first vetted partner hospitals are in Nigeria, and we are adding more hospitals and countries. We are opening to a small number of families at a time so that every case gets proper attention.

Every payment follows the same four steps:

1. 1You choose your loved one and a vetted hospital.
2. 2The hospital prices the treatment in writing before care begins, and you approve it.
3. 3Your loved one is treated, with nothing to pay at the desk.
4. 4The hospital and your loved one each confirm the care separately. A person on our team reviews it, and only then is the hospital paid.

Your payment is committed to one named treatment at one vetted hospital. The hospital is paid only after it provides proof of care and your loved one confirms, on their own phone, that they were treated. Every episode is reviewed by a person before payment is released, and you can see proof of care along the way.

Your payment is held by a licensed payment institution, not by PỌSI, while care is arranged and given. Once both confirmations are in, it is paid into the hospital's own verified bank account.

You pay in your own currency, and the hospital is paid in its local currency. Any currency exchange fees are shown to you before you pay.

You may be asked to verify your identity before sending or receiving a payment. These checks are standard for payment services and help protect you, your loved one and our partner hospitals from fraud.

No hospital receives a payment through PỌSI until we have been there. We review each facility onsite, check that it is registered and licensed to operate, confirm the names and credentials of its physicians, and require published prices for the treatments families can fund.

Checking continues after a hospital is listed. If a hospital no longer meets our standards, it is removed.

Only hospitals we have vetted. Our first partner hospitals include Evercare Hospital Lekki and Cedarcrest Hospitals in Nigeria, and more are being added.

Joining PỌSI is free. Any platform, transaction or currency exchange fees are shown to you before you confirm a payment, so there are no surprises.

If care is not delivered, you may be eligible for a refund. Refunds are also available for duplicate or incorrect billing and in cases of fraud.

If any payment processing costs cannot be recovered, the amount is shown to you before you confirm a cancellation. Full details are in our Terms of Use.

Questions about medical decisions or outcomes are handled directly with the hospital, which is responsible for clinical care. PỌSI confirms that care was delivered for payment purposes; we do not make medical decisions or judge clinical quality.

We use personal information to coordinate care, process payments, confirm that care took place and prevent fraud. We share it only where necessary, and we never sell it.

The person funding a treatment can see the proof of care for that treatment. Proof of care may include invoices, clinical summaries or photos from the point of care, and can show the diagnosis and the treatment received. It is not shared beyond what is necessary, and it is never sold.
