How it works
How PỌSIworks
A sponsor anywhere pays a hospital directly for someone's care. The hospital is paid its full price once the care is confirmed. Six steps, start to finish.
Hospital paid
Full price, into its verified account
Proof of care, to the sponsor
- Final bill
- Care team confirmation
- Patient confirmation
Six steps
The hospital is paid only at the last one.
Every step is visible to the sponsor. The money waits until the care is confirmed by the care team, by the patient and by a person at PỌSI.
New care request
Who can start one
- A family member, anywhere
- An employer or organization
- The hospital itself
Step 1: Request
Someone asks for care to be paid.
A sponsor anywhere starts a care request for a named patient. That can be family, an employer or an organization. The hospital can start one too.
- One request, one patient, one hospital
- The sponsor and the patient can be in different countries

Step 2: Estimate
The hospital prices it, line by line.
The hospital builds the estimate from its own price list, item by item. The sponsor sees every line, plus PỌSI's fee, itemized.
- Nothing hidden, nothing rounded up
- The sponsor sees the full cost before paying

The sponsor approves and pays.
Once the sponsor approves, they pay for that care and only that care. Payments are designed to be held by a licensed payment partner until the care is confirmed.
- No money moves before approval
- The hospital is not paid yet
During pilots, payments are handled by hand.9:41PỌSIExampleApprove and pay

Approve estimateStep 4: Care
The patient is booked, reminded and seen.
The patient gets an appointment and a reminder. Then they are seen. If the bill changes during care, it goes back to the sponsor to approve.
- No deposit to find at the desk
- Changes are approved, never assumed

- Patient booked
- Reminder sent to the patient

Step 5: Confirm
Care is confirmed twice, then checked.
The care team confirms the treatment. The patient confirms it too. A person at PỌSI reviews both.
- Both confirmations are needed
- A person checks before anyone is paid

Step 6: Paid
The hospital is paid. The sponsor gets proof.
The hospital receives its full price into its own verified account. The sponsor gets complete proof of care, not only a receipt.
- Nothing is taken out of the hospital's price
- Proof of care goes to the sponsor

ExampleBills that change
When care changes, the sponsor decides.
Care does not always go to plan. If the bill changes during care, the new lines go back to the sponsor for approval. Nothing is added without a yes.
Payment activity
Example- Estimate sent to the sponsor for approval
- Appointment confirmed with the care team and the patient
- Care changed, so the bill changed. Sponsor told, with the new line items
- More funding likely needed next week. Sponsor told now, not at discharge
- Reviewed by a PỌSI team member before paymentPerson in the loop
The PỌSI agent
An agent does the busywork. A person checks it.
An AI agent runs scheduling, reminders and reconciliation, and flags anything unusual. A person at PỌSI reviews its decisions.
For patients
Your care is paid for before you arrive.
The patient never handles the money. They are booked, reminded and seen, and they confirm their own care.
- No deposit to find at the desk.
- You confirm your care too. Nobody is paid without it.
- Nothing to chase. The people paying are told when it is done.

November 2026
Hospital pilots launch
Pilots with hospitals begin in November 2026. During pilots, payments are handled by hand.
The money
The money, plainly.
- Who holds the funds
Not PỌSI. Payments are designed to be held by a licensed payment partner while care is arranged and given.
Once both confirmations are in and a person has reviewed them, the hospital is paid in its own verified account.
- What it costs
The sponsor pays PỌSI's fee on top of the hospital's price. It is itemized on the estimate, with any transaction or currency exchange fees, before the sponsor pays.
Hospitals receive their full price. Nothing is taken out of it.
- If care does not happen
If care is not delivered, you may be eligible for a refund. Refunds are also available for duplicate or incorrect billing and in cases of fraud.
If any payment processing costs cannot be recovered, the amount is shown to you before you confirm a cancellation. Full details are in our Terms of Use.
